ARRIVAL IN SALALAH
Upon arrival at Salalah Airport, you will be met and transferred by our representative to your destination. Check in time at 14h00.

We will leave the hotel to explore the eastern part of Salalah our first stop will be the fishing village of Taqa and its former fort, surrounded by watchtowers and Taqa stone houses. You will continue along the beautiful coast complete with a stretch of sand and a wide Swathe of coconut trees. Then to Khor Rouri, the queen of the port of Shaiba which was built in the 1er century and was an important port for the frankincense trade, where excavations revealed the ancient city of Samhuran, in Egypt and Greece. Not far from here is Mirbat, the ancient capital of Dhofar, which in the 9th century sold incense, horses and Arab slaves and is today admired for its magnificent Dhofari / Yemen style houses, some of which have up to 700 years. the Mirbat cemeteryyou will visit the tomb of the 11th century – a double dome structure – of Bin Ali, an example of medieval architecture.
On the way back we will visit the wadi Hina where you can also see baobabs (African trees) and the next stop will be theoued Darbat a beautiful wadi with its natural park of acacias and it is a place where you will be able to find many animals (cows and donkeys of camel) our last visit will be Ayn Razat the gardens is located at the foot of mountains of Qara and is famous for its natural springs.

We will leave the hotel to visit the tomb of Nabi Ayoub (the tomb of Job) perched in the mountains of Qara. It is a beautiful road and (weather permitting) you should enjoy a great view of the city. You will continue to the unspoiled beach of Mughsail, famous for its vents and the nearby sanctuary, you can see flamingos at rest. After we continue the road, which will take you to the border of Yemen, the most spectacular of the country with hairpin turns that are almost terrifying, and yet the road itself is a great feat of genius, On the way, you will pass Incense trees that dot the arid mountain. Marketed as a more valuable commodity than gold, during the caravan routes to Egypt, incense harvested in this region is considered the best in the world.
Then we will continue to explore the city of Salalah … Salalah the “garden city” of the south is a tropical paradise. The coconut palms stretch along the endless beach; banana and papaya orchards dominate the countryside, and vegetable gardens form a patchwork of green. The visit will begin with a visit to Salalah Museum, to learn more about the history, culture and traditions of the Dhofar region. Next to the Archaeological ParkAl Baleed, the second port of 7th century at 14stwas the shipping port for frankincense, mure, slaves and fish oil. After our next visit will be the golden souk where the shops lining the street are just full of sparkling yellow metal. The next visit will be the Sultan’s palace, one of the beautiful palaces decorated with Taqa stones (limestone) and finally our last visit will be the traditional souk where you can enjoy the fresh breeze of the souf Haffa, and stroll through the tiny shops in the fragrant air filled with the aroma of incense.
